Description: Distinguished by the angular form with flattened inner chamber faces, deeply incised sutures, distinct apertural lip and strongly muricate test.
Distribution: Waipawan to Kaiatan.
Comment: Finlay placed primitiva in Globoquadrina because of its strong resemblance to G. dehiscens. Jenkins erected Pseudogloboquadrina for primitiva and Scott favours including it in Truncorotaloides. We follow Jenkins and Banner in retaining Pseudogloboquadrina because its Globoquadrina-like form sets it apart from typical Acarinina to which it is probably closely related.
