Description: Distinguished from G. miozea by its better developed peripheral keel and more convex ventral side.
Comparison: Differs from G. conomiozea in having typically five chambers in the final whorl and a lower conical profile.
Distribution: Lillburnian to Tongaporutuan (to lower Kapitean?).
Comment: Populations are variable and include a range of moderately ventrally convex to strongly convex individuals and the transition to four and a half and to four chambered conomiozea morphotypes is gradational. Thin-walled individuals without much secondary thickening are closest to G. miotumida Jenkins 1960, which has priority if the two taxa are synonymous. The thicker-walled, more conical forms with 5 chambers in the final whorl are referred to G. conoidea. Intermediate keeled populations in upper Clifdenian and lower Lillburnian are referred to G. praemenardii.
