Description: Distinguished by the broad, low-arched umbilically situated aperture and tightly coiled large test with globular, strongly embracing chambers.

Comparison: Populations of G. euapertura include a wide range of individual variation, many with a final bulla-like chamber of variable size, resembling Globorotaloides (Hornibrook, 1968). Not a particularly distinctive taxon.

Distribution: Lower Whaingaroan to lower Waitakian.

Comment: Globigerina euapertura and Globigerina woodi zones of Jenkins 1966.
