Description: Distinguished by the tiny, biserial, very rapidly expanding, tapering, perforate form with distinctly separated (11 to 12) chambers; aperture a low asymmetrical, rimmed arch. Test surface is finely hispid under the electron scanning microscope but the surface ornament is randomly distributed and not aligned as costae as in C. cubensis.

Comparison: Also differs from C. cubensis, with which it has been much confused, in more rapid rate of chamber expansion.

Distribution: Uppermost Bortonian? to Lower Whaingaroan.
